Embed our toy trends
Give readers a dated view of rising UK toy searches beside your own story. Our free widget shows the first five lines from the published TopTenToys Toy Trend Index. Choose a light or dark panel, copy the iframe code below and place it where the figures help your readers. For a newsletter, use the image version further down.
Choose light or dark
Recommended sizes: fluid width, 320px sidebar or 640px article panel, each 680px high.
Use the image where an iframe will not work
Newsletters, Substack posts and most forums strip iframes. Paste the image code instead, or add the image address through your editor's insert-image-from-link option.
Choose a panel that fits your page
The fluid version takes the width of its container, with a recommended height of 680 pixels. For a narrow sidebar, set the width to 320 pixels. For a wider article panel, try 640 pixels. Keep max-width at 100% so a fixed-width example still fits a reader's phone.
Both colour versions carry the same figures and dates. If you use a dark page background, choose the dark version rather than changing the text yourself. The preview below lets you read each version before copying. Keep the iframe title so screen-reader users know what the panel contains.
Some editors can build the panel for you. Paste the address of this page or of our Trending page on a line of its own, and an editor that reads oEmbed links shows the panel in its place. If yours shows a plain link instead, use the code below.
Know what the numbers describe
Each row follows its position in the published Index. The percentage measures the recent two complete weeks against the previous four for that toy line. Different lines can have very different starting levels, so a higher percentage does not establish that more people searched for that line.
The panel names Google Trends as its data source and carries one plain TopTenToys link to the Index, so a reader can check the full method. The code adds a one-line credit under the panel or image, with a nofollow TopTenToys link. Please keep both with the figures. Neither uses a keyword anchor, and you need not link to us anywhere else.
The data-to date shows the end of the measured period. A collection date is shown separately. When the weekly collection is overdue, the title changes to identify the latest stored edition and a notice explains the delay. If the newest collection has no publishable result, the panel displays a message instead of an older list.
Loading, privacy and keeping it current
The iframe loads a small HTML document from our domain with its styling included. It uses system fonts and needs no script, image or font download. The embed response sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Your host page's own privacy and consent arrangements still apply to the rest of your site.
The supplied code loads lazily and gives the iframe only the permissions needed to open the brand link in a new tab. It passes on your site's domain, as browsers do by default, but never the address of the page. Keep those attributes when pasting it. The iframe needs no script permissions or access to your page, and you do not need to add a third-party script.
New weekly imports and deployment update the panel and the image automatically, so there is no copy to replace on your site. Responses may be cached for up to an hour, and an email provider may keep its own copy of the image. Check your finished page at its narrowest width and leave enough height for longer line names and an overdue notice.
